Abstract: The research aims to identify the biblical narrative and its relationship with poetry, as well as to identify the reasons that prompted the poet Mahmud Darwish to pay attention to the biblical narrative and his interest in it, and its manifestations in the poetry of the Palestinian poet Mahmud Darwish. To achieve the goal of the research, research is based on the descriptive and analytical method.

The research concluded that Mahmud Darwish’s interest in the biblical narrative in his poems and writings came to enrich Darwish’s poetic experience, whether he was Darwish the poet or Darwish the politician. The biblical narrative is full of traditional symbols that greatly helped Darwish to employ their symbols in writing his poetic verses. The research reached several results, including the following: 1. Mahmoud Darwish’s interest in the biblical narrative in his poems and writings came to enrich his poetic experience, whether he was Darwish the poet or Darwish the politician.

The myths that appeared in Mahmoud Darwish’s poetry are the myth of the Promised Land, the land of God’s chosen people, and the myth of the alleged Temple, with whose presence the Israeli presence on the land of Palestine is linked.

3. The myths show us that the alleged Israeli state is based on traditional religious claims, and that the Zionist movement calls for the revival of the national homeland for the Jews on the land of Palestine, that is, the Promised Land for them.

The research recommends the following: 1. Studying the influence of the biblical novel on Mahmoud Darwish’s poems, where it is possible to explore how Darwish’s poems were influenced by the stories, symbols and values present in the biblical novel, and a comparison between the cultural and religious elements in the novel and their manifestations in Darwish’s poetry. 2. Analysis of religious concepts in Mahmoud Darwish’s poetry, where it is possible to explore how Darwish used religious symbols and concepts from the biblical narrative in his poems, and search for the significance of religious symbols and concepts in his poetry and their impact on its content and form.

المستخلص*: يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على الرواية التوراتية، والأسباب التي دفعت الشاعر الفلسطيني محمود درويش للاهتمام بهذه الرواية، وتجلياتها في شعره، ولتحقيق هدف البحث اعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وخلص البحث إلى أن اهتمام محمود درويش بالرواية التوراتية في أشعاره ومؤلفاته جاء لإثراء تجربته الشعرية سواء كان درويش الشاعر أو درويش السياسي، فالرواية التوراتية مفعمة بالرموز التراثية التي ساعدته بشكل كبير على توظيف رموزها في خط أبياته الشعرية.

وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها ما يلي: إن اهتمام محمود درويش بالرواية التوراتية في أشعاره ومؤلفاته جاء لإثراء تجربته الشعرية سواء كان درويش الشاعر أو درويش السياسي، فالرواية التوراتية مفعمة بالرموز التراثية التي ساعدت درويش بشكل كبير على توظيف رموزها في خط أبياته الشعرية. إن الأساطير التي تجلت في شعر محمود درويش وهي أسطورة أرض الميعاد، وأرض شعب الله المختار،

وأسطورة الهيكل المزعوم الذي يقترن الوجود الإسرائيلي على أرض فلسطين بوجوده.  كما وتظهر الأساطير أن الدولة الإسرائيلية قائمة على ادعاءات دينية تراثية، وأن الحركة الصهيونية تدعو إلى إحياء الوطن القومي لليهود على أرض فلسطين، أي أرض الميعاد بالنسبة لهم. ويوصي البحث بما يلي: دراسة تأثير الرواية التوراتية على قصائد محمود درويش، حيث يمكن استكشاف كيف تأثرت قصائد درويش بالقصص والرموز والقيم الموجودة في الرواية التوراتية، والمقارنة بين العناصر الثقافية والدينية في الرواية ومظاهرها في شعر درويش.

تحليل المفاهيم الدينية في شعر محمود درويش، حيث يمكن استكشاف كيف استخدم درويش الرموز والمفاهيم الدينية من الرواية التوراتية في قصائده، والبحث عن مغزى الرموز والمفاهيم الدينية في شعره وتأثيرها على مضمونه وشكله.
